Communicating with Your Photographer

đź’¬ Share Your Vision

Even if you’re not exactly sure what you want, it helps to share what you do know:

  • Are you going for soft and romantic or bold and sultry?
  • Do you envision light and white sheets, or darker and moody?
  • Do you want to wear oversized tees and cozy sweaters, or lace lingerie and heels?

Your photographer doesn’t expect you to have it all figured out—but giving even a few words, reference images, or inspiration can help guide the vibe of your session.

đź’ˇ Speak Up About Comfort Levels

This is your session, and your boundaries matter. Don’t hesitate to speak up about:

  • Areas of your body you feel self-conscious about
  • Poses or wardrobe choices that you’re unsure of
  • Maybe there's particular props you'd like to explore or mention

A great boudoir photographer will always respect your limits and help you feel empowered without pressure. We want you to feel confident and safe—every step of the way.

🗣️ Ask Questions—Big or Small

Never feel like any question is too small or silly. Whether you’re wondering:

  • “What should I wear?”
  • “Can I bring a friend?”
  • “How do I prepare the night before?”
  • “What if I feel nervous or awkward in front of the camera?”

Your photographer is there to guide you and help ease your mind. Communication isn't a burden—it's an invitation to connect, so you can show up feeling prepared and at peace.

❤️ After the Session: Keep the Conversation Going

Once your photos are taken, there may still be steps where communication is key:

  • Choosing images for albums
  • Discussing editing preferences (light retouching vs natural)
  • Sharing feedback

The more honest you are, the better the final results will align with your vision.
