Whatever your reason, let it ground you.

💭 Prepare Your Mind: Embrace the Experience

Boudoir is as much mental as it is physical. It’s natural to feel nervous or unsure—many of our clients do! But that little leap outside of your comfort zone is often where the magic happens.

  • Affirm Yourself Daily: In the days leading up to your session, start each morning with a positive affirmation. Something simple like, “I am worthy of being seen and celebrated.”
  • Release Judgment: Your session isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence. Show up exactly as you are—flaws, fears, beauty, and boldness.
  • Trust the Process: You don’t need to know how to pose, how to look, or what to do. That’s our job. Let go of the pressure to perform and just allow yourself to be.

🧘 Prepare Your Body: Gentle Care, Not Pressure

There’s no “boudoir body.” The one you live in right now is already beautiful and worthy. That said, a little self-care can help you feel more in tune and confident.

  • Hydrate & Nourish: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your shoot. Fuel yourself with foods that make you feel good, not bloated or sluggish.
  • Stretch & Move: Light movement like yoga or walks can help you feel more connected to your body.
  • Skincare Routine: Exfoliate, moisturize, and give your skin some extra love. Avoid anything harsh right before the session to avoid irritation.
  • Sleep Well: A good night’s sleep the night before can make all the difference in your energy and glow.

💗 Prepare Your Soul: Set an Intention

This experience is deeply personal. Setting an intention allows you to connect to why you’re doing this in the first place.

  • Are you celebrating a personal win?
  • Reclaiming your confidence after a difficult time?
  • Reminding yourself that you are more than a title, a job, a partner, or a parent?

Whatever your reason, let it ground you.

You might even write yourself a love letter or journal the morning of your session. Reflect on what this means for you—not what it looks like from the outside.
